This page explains how PayPal payments are handled for tours, transfers, rentals, and travel services coordinated by D’Palawan Travel and Tours (the “Agency”).
PayPal is accepted only as a convenience payment option. Because most local tour operators, boatmen, drivers, and service providers in Palawan require cash or cash-equivalent settlement, PayPal payments may still need to be withdrawn or encashed before supplier payment can be completed.
Cash payment remains the preferred and most reliable option. PayPal should be used only when cash payment is not immediately available.
PHP-Only Requirement
All PayPal payments must be sent in Philippine Peso (PHP).
- Payments sent in foreign currency (USD, EUR, etc.) may be automatically converted by PayPal
- Conversion rates are set by PayPal, not by the Agency
- Foreign currency payments may result in additional conversion costs
To avoid pricing errors and posting delays, Clients are strongly advised to send PayPal payments in PHP only.
When PayPal Is Accepted
- Subject to service type, timing, and supplier requirements
- Subject to successful posting and withdrawal on the Agency’s end
- Subject to sufficient lead time before the tour or service date
PayPal payments do not guarantee instant confirmation. All bookings remain provisional until payment is fully posted and verified.
PayPal Fees & Charges
All PayPal fees are charged by PayPal, card issuers, intermediary banks, or financial institutions. These fees are not charged, controlled, or retained by the Agency.
Typical PayPal Fees (For Reference Only)
- International cards: approximately 4.4% of the payment amount + ₱15
- Withdrawal/encashment fee (below ₱7,000):₱50
Important: All PayPal-related fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, even if a refund is later approved for the booking itself.

- Tour price: ₱1,500 (Island Hopping)
- Payer: Foreigner using an international card
- Payment source: USD (converted by PayPal)
Illustrative Computation

- PayPal international transaction fee (4.4%): ₱66.00
- Fixed PayPal fee: ₱15.00
- PayPal withdrawal/encashment fee (below ₱7,000): ₱50.00
Total estimated PayPal-related fees:₱131.00
Total amount effectively spent by the Client (tour + fees):₱1,631.00 (excluding any additional currency conversion spread imposed by PayPal)
Important notes:
- The Agency receives only the net amount after PayPal deducts its fees
- Any currency conversion from USD to PHP is handled by PayPal
- Exchange rates used by PayPal may differ from market rates
- PayPal fees and exchange differences are non-refundable
Payment Posting & Booking Confirmation
- Sending payment provisionally reserves a slot only
- Booking is fully confirmed only after PayPal funds are posted and verified
- Payment must be successfully posted before the start of the tour or service
If PayPal funds are delayed, reversed, or not reflected before the scheduled service time, the Agency and/or the Supplier reserves the right to cancel or terminate the booking.
Proof of Payment Requirement
Clients must send a clear screenshot or copy of the PayPal payment confirmation showing:
- Payer’s full name
- Date and time of payment
- Amount sent (PHP)
- PayPal transaction ID
Reminder: Proof of payment alone does not guarantee confirmation. Actual posting and withdrawal of funds is required.

Acceptance of Terms
These Payment Guidelines are intended to help ensure a smooth and stress-free booking experience by explaining the accepted payment methods, possible fees, and important operational, posting, and refund-related considerations when booking tours, transfers, rentals, and travel services through D’Palawan Travel and Tours (the “Agency”).
Palawan travel operates under real-world, on-ground conditions. Tours, boat operations, vehicle dispatch, permits, crews, meals, and equipment preparation are delivered primarily by independent local suppliers such as boat operators, drivers, guides, tour operators, and rental owners. As a practical and operational reality, most suppliers require cash or cash-equivalent settlement to mobilize resources, prepare equipment, secure permits, assign crews, and cover essential costs such as fuel, port and terminal fees, food provisions, and logistics.
Because of these realities, cash payment remains our required and preferred payment method. It is the simplest, fastest, and most reliable way to confirm bookings, reduce processing delays, and coordinate services efficiently. When possible, especially for time-sensitive arrangements or limited slots, we strongly encourage guests to settle in cash.
At the same time, we recognize that some guests may not yet be in Palawan, may be arranging payments remotely, or may need to secure their booking in advance. For this reason, digital and electronic payment methods are offered strictly as a convenience option. These methods may involve third-party processing, platform or bank charges, currency conversions, posting delays, withdrawal or encashment requirements, and intermediary deductions before supplier settlement can occur.
Sending any payment, deposit, or reservation amount shall be construed as confirmation that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Payment Guidelines together with our Refund Policy, Terms of Service, Terms of Use, Disclaimer, Disclosure, and all other policies of this site and D'Palawan Travel and Tours.
Clients are strongly advised to read this page together with the Payment Rules (Applies to All Payment Methods) section appearing below, which governs booking confirmation, verification, applicable fees, proof of payment requirements, exchange-rate handling, fraud prevention, and dispute or chargeback procedures.
Important Operational Reminder: Before sending any digital or electronic payment (including GCash, PayPal, bank transfer, QR payments, or money remittance), clients must contact us first to confirm the following:
- The exact payable amount for the selected tour, package, or service, taking into account possible platform or bank deductions;
- The availability, suitability, and validity of the chosen payment channel;
- The expected posting and verification timeline relevant to the service date.
Payments sent without prior confirmation may result in underpayment, misapplied funds, or delayed posting. While the Agency will always make reasonable efforts to assist, slot availability and service coordination cannot be guaranteed until the correct amount is received and verified in accordance with the Payment Rules.
