Payment Guidelines
Payment Modes • Associated Fees • Refunds
These Payment Guidelines are intended to help ensure a smooth and stress-free booking experience by explaining the accepted payment methods, possible fees, and important operational, posting, and refund-related considerations when booking tours, transfers, rentals, and travel services through D’Palawan Travel and Tours (the “Agency”).
Palawan travel operates under real-world, on-ground conditions. Tours, boat operations, vehicle dispatch, permits, crews, meals, and equipment preparation are delivered primarily by independent local suppliers such as boat operators, drivers, guides, tour operators, and rental owners. As a practical and operational reality, most suppliers require cash or cash-equivalent settlement to mobilize resources, prepare equipment, secure permits, assign crews, and cover essential costs such as fuel, port and terminal fees, food provisions, and logistics.
Because of these realities, cash payment remains our required and preferred payment method. It is the simplest, fastest, and most reliable way to confirm bookings, reduce processing delays, and coordinate services efficiently. When possible, especially for time-sensitive arrangements or limited slots, we strongly encourage guests to settle in cash.
At the same time, we recognize that some guests may not yet be in Palawan, may be arranging payments remotely, or may need to secure their booking in advance. For this reason, digital and electronic payment methods are offered strictly as a convenience option. These methods may involve third-party processing, platform or bank charges, currency conversions, posting delays, withdrawal or encashment requirements, and intermediary deductions before supplier settlement can occur.
Sending any payment, deposit, or reservation amount shall be construed as confirmation that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Payment Guidelines together with our Refund Policy, Terms of Service, Terms of Use, Disclaimer, Disclosure, and all other policies of this site and D'Palawan Travel and Tours.
Clients are strongly advised to read this page together with the Payment Rules (Applies to All Payment Methods) section appearing below, which governs booking confirmation, verification, applicable fees, proof of payment requirements, exchange-rate handling, fraud prevention, and dispute or chargeback procedures.
Important Operational Reminder: Before sending any digital or electronic payment (including GCash, PayPal, bank transfer, QR payments, or money remittance), clients must contact us first to confirm the following:
- The exact payable amount for the selected tour, package, or service, taking into account possible platform or bank deductions;
- The availability, suitability, and validity of the chosen payment channel;
- The expected posting and verification timeline relevant to the service date.
Payments sent without prior confirmation may result in underpayment, misapplied funds, or delayed posting. While the Agency will always make reasonable efforts to assist, slot availability and service coordination cannot be guaranteed until the correct amount is received and verified in accordance with the Payment Rules.

Cash Payment (REQUIRED)
As mentioned, cash is our required and preferred payment method. It is the simplest, fastest, and most reliable way to confirm bookings and coordinate services.
Most local Suppliers/Providers require cash settlement to cover operational expenses such as fuel, crew wages, port and terminal fees, permits, food, and equipment preparation.
Paying in cash helps ensure that:
- The full amount you pay goes directly to your booking;
- No platform, processing, or withdrawal fees are deducted;
- Booking confirmation is faster;
- There is less risk of delays affecting limited or time-sensitive tour slots.
Best practice: If you are already in Palawan, cash payment is almost always the most efficient and dependable option.
Helpful Tips
- Prepare small bills when possible for smoother settlement.
- Confirm the total amount before handing over cash.
- Ask for a booking confirmation or acknowledgment after payment.
Cash Payment (Preferred & Operationally Required by Most Suppliers). While the Agency may accept electronic payments as a convenience, many third-party suppliers require cash settlement, which is why cash remains the most reliable method.
Digital / Electronic Payments (Convenience Option Only)
For client convenience, the Agency may accept digital or electronic payment methods as an alternative to cash. These include GCash, PayPal (PHP only), Bank Transfer (International & Local), Money Remittance Services.
Because most Suppliers/Providers still require cash, electronic payments may need to be withdrawn, converted, transferred, or encashed before supplier settlement can occur.
By choosing a digital payment method, the Client agrees that:
- All platform fees, bank charges, remittance fees, and deductions are shouldered by the Client;
- These fees are charged by third parties and not controlled by the Agency;
- Fees are not part of the tour or service price;
- All third-party fees are non-refundable.
IMPORTANT:
The amount that must be received by the Agency must be equal to or greater than the agreed service price. Any shortfall due to fees must be settled by the Client.
Payment Confirmation Requirement
Clients are required to contact [Agency Name] prior to making any payment through electronic channels. Confirmation must be obtained for:

Refund & Cancellation Policy – Quick Guide
This section is a brief reference only. For the full, complete, and controlling version of all refund and cancellation rules, please refer to our official Refund Policy.
Refund eligibility varies based on timing, group size, and supplier rules, as well as whether services have already been prepared or suppliers have mobilized. Many tours, transfers, and rentals require advance arrangements such as boats, vehicles, crews, permits, and logistics; once these preparations begin, refunds may be limited or no longer available.
This guidance applies to all tours, transfers, rentals, and travel services coordinated by D’Palawan Travel and Tours. In case of any inconsistency, the full Refund Policy shall prevail.
Important: Sending any payment, deposit, or booking confirmation confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to the applicable refund and cancellation rules.
If you are uncertain or disagree with any payment requirement, timeline, or policy term, please contact us first for clarification before proceeding with payment or availing of any services.
